CONFERENCE | PARADIGM SHIFT | GAMES FOR CHANGE EUROPE at FMX in Stuttgart will provide you with a series of lectures, given by several cutting edge developers such as takomat and Ubisoft. Topics will be the potentials and challenges for pioneers and innovators in future design of Good Game.
FMX Conference takes place in Stuttgart at the "Haus der Wirtschaft", Willi-Bleicher-Street 19, from April 23rd to April 26th. Daniel Schwarz from takomat will give his lecture on April 25th at 17:00. Location will be Bertha-Benz-Saal in the "Haus der Wirtschaft".
takomat keynote speech @ Kick-Off Games4Change Europe
On April, 8th 2013, the official Kickoff of the Games For Change Europe initiative will take place at the Cologne Game Lab.
Guido Doublet, Co-CEO of takomat, will take his keynote speech about the topic "Learning Game Design: From educative games to games for change." at 10.15.
The G4C Europe Initiative is realized in partnership with the Cologne Game Lab of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, FMX – International Conference on Animation, Visual Effects, Games and Transmédia -, Institute of Animation at Filmakademie Baden Württemberg, Autodesk, ENJMIN, CNAM, Ubisoft, Academia(par Ubisoft), Cap Digital and Futur en Seine.

ARSCOPE Project - Enter 6: Biopolis
This time´s local host CIANT - International Centre for Art and New Technologies, and other invited guest artists from the interdisciplinary field of arts, science and technology, will give the audience insights into recent work.
During the symposium (April 5th.) Daniel Schwarz deals with takomat's recent visions for Good Games in the context of Design, Research & Development.
Since november 2011, the ARSCOPE-Projekt works with an interdisciplinary team of European artists from Cologne, Prague and Ljubliana at the intersection of Arts, Sciences and Technology with the topics media arts, media techniques and Brain-, Learning- and Bio-Sciences.
From December 18th. - 20th. takomat hosted an ARSCOPE workshop and public event (December, 20th.) in Cologne at the Academy for media Arts Cologne (Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (KHM)).
The project is funded by the EACEA (The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency) from November 2011 until April 2013.
Become MT! – Your Virtual Internship
To enable young people with an interest in medical careers to experience a virtual hospital internship, the DVTA commissioned takomat with a game, that would introduce youths to the Medical Technicians fields of work. Together with Kommunikationsbüro Ulmer, takomat developed the virtual promotion of young MTs „Become MT!“. The game experience is followed by the opportunity to gather further facts about a career as a Medical Technician at www.mtawerden.de.
Research & Development
ARSCOPE - Art-Science Cooperation Environment.
From December 18th. to December 20th. the ARSCOPE project team will host workshops for students of the Academy for Media Arts Cologne. The topics are multimodal, neuronal und biological interfaces and techniques at the intersection of Arts, Technologies and Sciences. The closing event of the workshops with presentations and performances will take place for the public on Thursday, December, 20th. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the Performances in the Auditorium of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
The Culture project ARSCOPE works with an European interdisciplinary team of artists at the intersection of Arts, Sciences and Technology. Its experimental and narrative arc unfolds along the evolutionary ladder from micro-organisms up to cybernetic learning machines for 21st. century skills. ARSCOPE is funded by the EACEA Culture Programme of the European Commission from 2011-2013; Partners of the ARSCOPE-project are:
